Operations

The brigade responds to multiple types of emergency calls from our Community 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Structure Fires

The brigade is equipped to be first due response for structure fires with Engine Tanker 377 and well as immediate backup of water supply with Tanker 177. Structure fires include residential, barns, garages, and commercial buildings

Brush Fires

The brigade is equipped to be first due response for brush fires with Engine 177 and well as immediate backup of water supply with Tanker 177 and Ranger 177. Brush fires are when grass, fields, brushes, or trees are burning. Brush fires can start from lightning, but commonly because of careless people.

Motor Vehicle Accidents

The brigade is equipped to respond to motor vehicle accidents of all sizes. Accidents may require extrication and stabilization or just preparation for tow.

Medical Emergencies

The brigade is equipped to support ambulance services with initial emergency care. The first hour is critical in medical treatment and the Brigade providing initial assessments assist in reducing the time to hospital transport.

Search and Rescue

The brigade is equipped to conduct search and rescue operations within the community. Locating missing or injured hikers, snowshoers, and off roaders are some examples of calls.

Water Rescue

The brigade is equipped to handle rescues that happen on the waters of the community with a boat and rescue equipment.

Cold Water/Ice Rescue

The brigade responds to emergency call involving people and animals that may fall through the ice and be exposed to cold waters.

Dive Rescue

The brigade provides members to be part of the Woodstock Dive Team which provides underwater services to the community and other local towns.

Call for Service

The brigade responds to non-emergency service calls through out the year. Responses include road blocked by trees, downed power lines, flooded roadways, lift assist, and assisting with flooded basements.
