Junior Member Guidelines

Junior Members are the future of the Brigade. Junior member are provided a safe environment for learning all the skills required of a firefighter. School is a junior members first responsibility and all Brigade duty shall come after.

Guidelines
- Junior members will be assigned an officer or sponsor member for guidance and questions
- Junior member will not be able to respond for the time of one month in that time they must complete proper training. They will be able to respond after that one month if their sponsor or officer brings to the membership their accomplishments and it will be decided than if they are able to respond to calls
- On scene of an emergency junior member must report to a staging vehicle (e.g. ET377, R-177) and remain there until directed by an officer
- No legal infractions
- Must respond to the station for calls (Even if you must pass the call on the way to the station) - No use of blue lights or flashers while responding to emergency calls
- No department clothing (Shirts, Sweatshirts, jackets) except for turnout gear which will remain at the station
- No access to the station without a full member present
- No use of door or alarm codes at the station
- If a junior member is on an apparatus and a full member has the chance to respond with that apparatus, than the junior member must relinquish his seat to the full member
- Shall not hold elected or appointed office
- Shall not have voting privileges
- Shall not borrow equipment from the Brigade for personal use

If these guidelines are not followed the junior member will be immediately dismissed from the brigade.
